In the end, I decided to go after that wing seam again after all. A good call, it looks better than before. Almost invisible now.
The primer was followed by some preshading.
Then we add the light grey on the bottom and sides, and a darker grey color on the reat. I don't think it's exactly how the real thing is, but so be it.
And then we do some decalling for an afternoon.
Drat, something's not exactly right....
